Flexo Deck Dry setup
Practical sequence for hood height, warm scrap, and first gel photo.
Setup notes for Flexo Deck Dry
This specs leaf is the practical sequence for putting Flexo Deck Dry on the floor without drama. Lock the casters. Set hood height. Wipe the face. Confirm the timer. Then take three scrap passes before the first client blank. Germiston crews treat that warm-up as non-negotiable after a cold Highveld morning.
Match power and zone to the cell you actually run. A flash head on a wet water-based station with the hood too high is scrap waiting. Label the height lock. Keep the exhaust stub honest. If the knife drifted overnight on a web cell, fix it before you open rate.
Photograph the first gel with the print face in frame. File it on the shared drive or pin a print above the cell. When the next shift asks what changed, you have evidence instead of a shrug. We would rather receive a half-complete setup list than a novel in the email.
Dwell and care on the floor
Dwell follows the substrate, not the ego. Labels want tighter control than fleece. Carton edges want a soft rail. Dual zone lines want independent checks so zone one does not cook while zone two stays soft.
- Hood face wiped before every head change
- Warm-up scrap before client stock
- Shields cleaned when quartz looks cloudy
- Storage with casters locked and cables tidied
Pair this leaf with the matching cell path and a drydown note. Email dry@flushdryer.co.za if your belt width or deck spacing sits outside the usual workshop band.
When to stop and change path
Stop if the gel marks under a finger, if the web flutters into the knife, or if the tunnel scrapes the first three pieces after a power cut. Changing path mid-pack is cheaper than a full remake. Flush Dryer would rather you open a second cell path than force one dryer through every stock in the bay.
Showroom desks at Clearwater, Cresta, Pavilion, Tyger Valley, Baywest, Mimosa, and Riverside can continue a setup conversation without restarting the story, if your handoff note names the dryer and the cell already tried.
